You’re may be already giving to a group gift through your class parent, PTA or parent coordinator. But if you are like me and you want to give something personal to your child’s teacher or if your school is one of the few that doesn’t allow group gifting of any kind, you may be looking for some suggestions that don’t break the bank but still are personal. Here’s a list my daughter and I came up with:
Flower and Seed Kit: This could even turn into a project that is displayed in the classroom depending on their age/grade. A nice selection is something like Forget Me Nots along with a card noting that the year has been so memorable. We also found herb gardens and a Mojito set with mint seeds.
Personalized Stationary: We often forget in an age of SMS, MMS, email and News Feeds that sometimes nothing beats putting pen to paper old school style. We found this one with pads, note pads and envelopes and these monogrammed cards.
Key Ring: Coach makes an amazing line of key rings. They come in a variety of materials — metals, leather, crystals and enamel — themes and types — holiday, fashionista, picture frame, and traveler. Best of all, you get the Coach quality and presentation at a very affordable price point (they start around $28). The Ycross Mini Keychain Speaker is NOT your ordinary charm. This adorable accessory makes your keychain a sound system. You may want to get one for yourself.
Baked Goodness: Cookies, Brownies, Cupcakes or Confections. This can be a collaborative project you do with your children and make sure to find a decorative tin or have them decorate a piece of paper to line the inside of a clear plastic container that you turn to the outside so it shows through.
